The latter must be willing to accept a suitable job, or else lose the benefit – hence its difference to more radical basic income schemes.

The Ruling Elites Love How Easily We're Distracted and Turned Against Each Other
The Elite's greatest fear is that left and right non-elites realize who their real enemies are, and that their fighting with each other over cultural issues is what the Elites want them to be doing

France's Ghosts of '68: General Strike vs. Macron and the Technocrat Elites
The cities themselves have become very unequal, too. The Parisian economy needs executives and qualified professionals. It also needs workers, predominantly immigrants, for the construction industry and catering et cetera. Business relies on this very specific demographic mix. The problem is that ‘the people’ outside of this still exist. In fact, ‘Peripheral France’ actually encompasses the majority of French people."

Elvis Presley's Favorite Whipping Cream Pound Cake
Steve says
"This recipe appeared in Our local newspaper about 20 years ago. The recipe comes from an old lady who was a dear friend of Elvis. She made this cake for him every Christmas and on special occasions. She made the paper promise to keep her name anonymous for fear that people would deluge her Tupelo Mississippi home with requests by fans to make her cakes for them."

** Note: while the original recipe did not suggest this, when I'm in the mood for something different I will add a teaspoon or two of orange or lemon extract for a lemon or orange pound cake.

Dual Italian Citizenship European Passport for U.S. Citizens of Italian descent
If your last Italian-born ancestor naturalized before his child was born, you do not qualify for Italian citizenship. To find out whether you qualify or not, it is often necessary to conduct a comprehensive Genealogy Search.
