As Reality Check pointed out, the rate of violent crime is higher in the UK than in the U.S. The U.S. rate in 2011 was 386.3 violent crimes per 100,000 inhabitants. Conversely, "there are over 2,000 crimes recorded per 100,000 population in the UK, making it the most violent place in Europe."
