Why doesn't the Federal Reserve just buy Treasury securities directly from the U.S. Treasury?
Conducting transactions in the open market, rather than directly with the Treasury, supports the independence of the central bank in the conduct of monetary policy.

Malcom X on the Media (?)
"The media’s the most powerful entity on earth. They have the power to make the innocent guilty and to make the guilty innocent, and that’s power. Because they control the minds of the masses."

Did the corpses of Henry VIII and Elizabeth I explode?
King Henry Vlll - by Hans Holbein the Younger There is a rather gory story about King Henry Vlll connected with Syon House. In 1547, the King's coffin was brought to Syon on its way to Windsor for burial. It burst open during the night and in the morning dogs were found licking up the remains!!! This was regarded as a divine judgement for the King's desecration of Syon Abbey.

During the period in question, Southwell reports how there was a loud ‘crack’ from the coffin as Elizabeth’s ‘body and head’ broke open from the pressures of gases released as the corpse rotted. While the force of the explosion splintered the ‘wood lead and cere cloth’, people speculated on how much worst might it have been if the body had not been opened and disembowelled after death! It is interesting isn’t it, that the story of this event occurring after the end of Henry VIII is much repeated, and seen as a sign of his obesity and gluttony. But here we have the same thing happening with his daughter, who was not subject to such vices!

Belloc on Monarchy
Hilaire Belloc: “You must have one man sufficiently removed from temptation by his own absolute position and vested with sufficient powers, able to act with sufficient rapidity. That one man is a concrete object. He can be got at by the people. He can be blamed or praised. He knows that he is responsible. He cannot shift his burden on to some anonymous and intangible culprit. And that, in itself, apart from the natural indifference and therefore impartiality of one who is above bribery and above blackmail, through his control of national wealth and power, is a vast force in favour of just government.” (The House of Commons and Monarchy, p. 179-180)

Mexico’s Lost Catholic History
It is important for the American reader, disinclined to believe in conspiracy theories, to understand that Freemasonry has been responsible for violently warring against countries that were entirely Catholic so as to destroy Catholic culture, dethroning Christ as King, and exalting man, as an anti-Christ, in his place. This war is simply the modern history of Mexico as it is of so many western countries, as one can confirm not only in good history books, like the treatment of Jean Myer on the Cristiada but also in the Church’s magisterial teachings, c.f. Humanum Genus, Leo XIII.
Mary, Quite Contrary Wollstonecraft: Philosophy, Passion, and Politics
On the one hand, she championed women’s capacity for reason in an age that largely treated them as sentimental playthings and decorative accessories for men. On the other, she fell passionately in love with the dashing and unscrupulous American businessman Gilbert Imlay. So fixated on him was she that she undertook a perilous journey to Scandinavia in an attempt to please him and then twice attempted suicide when he dumped her and their illegitimate daughter.

Rochester suspends police officers who pepper-sprayed a 9-year-old girl
Roj, the city spokesman, said the call originally came in as a “domestic” crime report. The girl’s mother reported her boyfriend, the girl’s father, for allegedly stealing her car, Roj said. It was only when police arrived that the mother told police her daughter was distraught and had threatened to harm herself and her mother, he added.
Cops then asked the mother if she had stabbed the girl's father, to which the girl says, 'Yes she did.'
'I got custody. You're my child. So you're going to take you're a** home right now,' the mom screams.
The parents hold some responsibility, others said on Twitter. “How about we discipline our children better and clearly this girl was being abused by her mom’s boyfriend. So that’s a problem in itself. It’s not the police fault these people weren’t raised right,” the tweet read.
