Robbers broke into a home near Atlanta early Tuesday, demanding jewelry and money, and when they were told there was none of either in the house, abducted a 14-year-old girl and shot and killed the family dog, police said.
Police were stopping cars and checking them during an all-out search for Ayvani Hope Perez. The two men pried open a back door of the home in the Ellenwood area around 2:15 a.m., demanding the items, said Clayton County police Officer Phong Nguyen.
The girl was last seen being taken
